Still looking for another two voters. Planning to make purchase later today.
Ran out of time - anyone who has not voted so far has until tomorrow now to show their hand and raise anything that might be helpful, as I will review the result of the voting tomorrow.
Following on from the Chairman earlier post, I only logged in at 2am to see what, if anything, had been purchased. Alas, I look forward to progress later on in the day.

BMS was tipped at 99p. The offer price is currently 127p (28% higher). Are the members who voted for it aware of this?

The "Unite" tip (student accommodation provider) doesn't say what the current price was at the time of writing, but his has also seen a big increase in the last week or so.

Mpac was tipped at £2.55 and remains at £2.55. If we're going on the share tips analysis, that's the only one I'd feel safe investing in

I would hope so! I have tried not to put the current prices in when a vote is on as they change and I'd have to keep updating what would be a wrong price, so that's why the link is there in hope all members will be using it anyway. All the share tips come from Sharecast news, so each is mentioned in the news section of the relevant share on the link provided. I *think* most members will be shrewd enough to look at the extracts, follow the link and work out which they think is best using the information given and any other research they feel necessary.

There is always a lag from when the shares are tipped, to then hold the vote and then make a purchase. To be honest MPAC was 275p when I started the vote and has fallen back to 255p. Unite has risen a good amount since the tip and the vote started. Braemar has risen as you have indicated.

Personally I think all three shares, for once, hold pretty reasonable investment potential. On the basis of that and not being able to vote for all three, my gut feeling is Braemar holds the best potential to rise another 30%, all being well, which is kind of the bottom line where I am looking for any investment to gain under our new regime - at least when I am doing my own analysis. My view will change according to what happens.

What I will do next time is make sure the price when tipped and the date of the tip are explicitly noted, just for clarity, as this is a constant and I won't have to update it!

Great for the Investment Club that the purchase of Braemar Shipping Services has gone ahead. I'm a fan of Global Ports who operate in a somewhat similar areas and I've done well out of them. Good Luck

I don't want to go over old ground as it seems that you have all rejected the philosophy of Marginal Gains (ie: the pennies or 1/2%'s here and there compounded time and time again can be worth alot) which I think is wrong but that's old ground...! However, I hope the club will, for your next investment, investigate/monitor the two Italian shares (still accessible via Share Centre) which I mentioned earlier in this thread and take a good look at the follow two shares which seem to fit the clubs Modus Operandi:

Kromek
Vianet Group

and the two Italian one's:
Autogrill
Atlantia

Have fun and profit ;)

I just wanted to say - these are the kinds of posts the club needs and will be positive, so I thank you for that  - most appreciated.

Thinking more widely - I honestly think if you posted in this way more often you'd have a much better reception from members of imutual to discussion you participate in  :)
