So we leave "Robin's Nest" after a fortnight's escape from the builders back home. It is a bijou bungalow in the garden of the owner's bungalow with a little seating area fenced off from the main garden area.
On arrival after unpacking etc I sat down and looked out of the window to see a Robin on the fence. I quickly sussed it was a wooden one attached to the fence.
It was a smidgen too large and the legs were a smidgen too fat I realised but the big giveaway was the chest. It was painted
red rather than the orange of the real life Robin that we saw on occasion in the bushes at the side of the bungalow.
Wonder how long it would take a non birder to spot the fake from the real Robin
