OK so I believe this is the most up-to-date version of member desired outcomes:

TBC
Peacemaker

Leave
harinmenon
mike
hiswitzend

Stay
nickyu
parchedpeas
AAAlphaThunder
burwin
Beachboy
pieman
garindan
richard@imutual

I think this is sufficient for our future planning and I'm happy to see we have a reasonable number of members sticking around to see where our next investments take us.

I am hoping to see another new member joining soon, so as soon as that happens I will let you know. I should add - now is a good time for anyone else considering joining the club to sort that out. I have all the new joining details if you want to know more.

Over the coming week I will be discussing matters with the new club treasurer and then we can look at finalising the exit of those wishing to leave and set about creating a plan for new investments.

Thanks so much

Whats is the state of the club?
Have we paid out the members wishing to leave?
What is our plan going forward?
Build up a war chest to make another purchase or maybe divest some current shares?
What is the current unit price with shares going down and members leaving?

All good questions.

First up is to ensure new systems for treasurer are firing on all cylinders. I'm hoping this is almost done now.
We'll pay the exiting members out of cash funds and then work out what remains, which will then form the basis of the cash pot available for new investments. We should have a war chest ready for new investing, which will give us a good few months of new polls.
Current shares have seen a rollercoaster ride. I don't think any of them are going to be moved on too soon, perhaps with the exception of Bakkavor, which might go into profit when new financial update is published by the company. Gold has been very poor of late and Ramdens has been pretty static, teetering on moving up but not quite made the next jump.

Just to echo Garindan's comments. I am just liaising with him and Richard to ensure the payments for the members who have indicated they wish to leave are all sorted so that we can then complete a new valuation for each of our remaining members. We will of course then also know how much we have left to make a possible investment(s). 👍

I'd really like to get a strategy in place for reducing our holding in PGM.

I accept that we're going to have to hold on to it for some time, but we're too deep in it at the moment and if the upwards movement that has happened this morning continues I think it would be fair to start discussing prices at which we reduce and rebalance a little.

Just a quick update - we are scheduled to complete a valuation and paying those members who asked to leave at the end of the first week in November. After this we'll know exactly where we are and can then set about new investments with the cash that is at hand!
