I thought we had an agreed daily limit on the number of new topics/threads for an individual?
Disregarding the negligible value of the posts made, it seems someone has decided than 10 new threads in a single day is acceptable.....
It's getting difficult to see the real posts amonngst all this redundant superfliuity.
Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me

Why disregard the negligible value? Clearly noone values them - they get between 0 and 3 views. I think there is a case for suspending the posting rights.

I have always been at a complete loss to understand what the motivation is to do this. It must be time consuming to compile the posts and it is not even that this effort is worth it because they are not well received. Indeed they are deemed annoying to the point that a rule had to be brought in to try to curb such behaviour. Completely bizarre behaviour. It would be much more helpful to spot genuinely brilliant offers or opportunities and then highlight these, which would be positively received and really add value to the site. 'Less is more' and all that.

Not just me then........
I have called them out on a few occasions, but it does no good and just makes it look as if they're getting more views than they deserve.
Luckily, there is little more in the body than in the title, so there's no reason to actually open the posts....

Yes I have tended to ignore them. It seems to be due to some strange desire to reach some sort of mental target for an undefined number of posts made on the site. I remember a long time ago when Richard was more active and was pruning the site, He kicked up because a lot of the posts he had made, disappeared. I have taken the view in recent times that it is probably better to ignore his posting rather than give him the satisfaction of knowing that someone was silly enough to open them. 12 so far today. I did report one earlier today, but doubt Richard is that bothered, so will go back to ignoring.

I ignore them but find them annoying.

I ignore them. There's enough info in the title to see they aren't interesting. There's lots of other topics I also ignore.

The flood seems to have abated - nothing new for a couple of days, thank goodness.
We still miss Kev's contributions to liven up the forums though.

Some bright spark should come up with an "AI kev", to use our late friend's many, many past contributions to address current issues - now THAT would be a good use of AI!!

See Chunder's new post...... the irrelevancy of said posts has been noted!
