i broadly agree with that Richard… for all their faults, HSBC, Lloyds, Barclays and NatWest are all providing banking facilities as part of their core business, generally do a good job of doing so and are set to continue with minimal disruption.
Do they? Went into Lloyds in the early afternoon last week and tried to get some £5 notes. The cashier had a run on notes earlier and only had 3 left, less than I had asked for. Obviously not able to top up her desk and her colleague had computer problems. So I had the bare minimum I needed and will have to go in hope again tomorrow.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

yes, and you 'Liked' at the time.
"generally do a good job of doing so"
i don't know why you specifically need £5 notes. it's very rare that i would want to withdraw cash from a counter, and very unusual that i want to withdraw cash from a cash machine, and if i do i wouldn't care what denomination the notes were in.
