Cambridge BS are offering a regular saver that genuinely seems to reward loyalty with higher rates

1% on up to £250/month for a year is available to all comers.
If you’ve held a savings or mortgage account for a year or more, you can have 3% and after three years, 5%.

Worth a go, I think. Although 1% is not great, it’s not terrible by current standards and opens up higher rates in the future. Of course the higher rates may change or become uncompetitive, but there's no commitment.

On the downside, no online account opening. I called up and was offered a callback tomorrow to open the account.

i agree, it's good to see them having a go, and rewarding loyalty.

Yes, Opened.

Slightly clunky opening procedure - you call to make an appointment for a call back to open the account (next day, in my case). After that initial call, all quick and straightforward.
