RIP Dennis. I must have watched each episode of Minder about 400 times!
His hitting Rula was shocking but I think it was a difficult marriage and his other wives defended him.

I think it was more acceptable then, now more women are talking about it and there are refuges. Not that Rula ever found the situation so bad she needed a refuge. Sadly hardly anyone talks about men who are abused or raped. And even less help for the male victims.

Never liked the guy. Met him in London through a work colleague, instantly forgettable - though the Little Britain parody raised a smile....
