We could see a 0.5% rise this week. I wouldn't make any decisions before then, especially on multi-year fixed rates.

just that the rates have edged up, but still very little return on cash, and it's a negative real return.
I know your a bit coin man but I am looking for something stable and easy. Just hard to work out if/when to lock your cash away.

having some cash in an account for a rainy day makes sense LPS.. so finding the best rate you can is fair enough. but beyond that we need to at least try to beat inflation imv.

BoE has increased the base rate to 1.25% (up by 0.25%). This is a 13 year high.
Three members of the nine-member committee voted for an even bigger rise of 0.5%, in the aftermath of the bumper 0.75% rise in rates in the US overnight.
