Unfortunately that is what strikes are about. Inconvenience, delay, disruption. They are timed to frustrate and annoy.

As for job cuts Royal Mail are already poised to axe 10,000 jobs

The graphic is misleading, almost to the extent of being fake news.

The CWU has given notice of national strikes on 25 October and 28 November.

All the other days mentioned are specific groups of workers - eg delivery staff will be out just one day a week. Mail is unlikely to take 10 days for delivery as suggested.

thanks , post amended , but I still wouldn't trust Royal Mail at the moment . Last Saturday I received 2 hospital letters for appointments the previous 2 days ( Thursday and Friday ) .

Royal mail to introduce owner/driver workers into the workforce.

"This reaffirms the company's whole approach of imposing change rather than negotiating it," the CWU added.

"Not only is the offer not applicable to Parcelforce and fleet employees, but the company have confirmed that, as of tomorrow, new entrants will be brought in on lower terms, and will be introducing owner-drivers into Royal Mail - a service that will be comparable to Uber."

I can imagine a scenario where the CWU call for a full time strike at some stage. Not sure where the future lies for Royal Mail TBH. They are in a very difficult position.
