Truss does not get it does she. She was brought down by the apolitical hard nosed people who run the stock exchange, foreign currency etc City of London and similar places around the world. They could see the stupidity of what she wanted to do.

Sunak is a right winger, Maggie would say love the way he is a dry and definitely not a wet and he warned against her ideas in the TV debates. And the mainly hard right and elderly Tory members were too stupid to listen to him. Maybe it was the colour of his skin and hair but the lovely Liz was not only a white blonde like the beloved Maggie but she was even dressing like her. Which member could not vote for someone who was the new Thatcher?

Ah diddums...
The Tories are facing a £25 million funding shortfall as their usual donors view backing a clearly losing horse as “pointless”, according to reports.

The party’s finances are so poor that it has been forced to use its overdraft just to pay staff, Bloomberg reported.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment and it just continues to show how incompetent they are even with thier own finances. They are not to be underestimated. Once an election is announced the donors will crawl back as they will not want to see a Labour government take power and will throw all they can into the hole. Whether they will fill it or be successful is another issue.

Incidentally, we do not know the current state of Labour's finances. A lot of the unions (their traditional route for funding) are not over happy with them at the moment.

Time will tell, and better for no one to crow to early. It will not be over till the fat lady sings.

PM expected to rearrange some useless deckchairs...

"Sunak reshuffle: PM expected to reshape government departments"
The government is expected to announce some new names in senior roles - with widespread talk among senior sources that the prime minister will also set out a reorganisation of some government departments on Tuesday.

I can confirm the LibDems and Greens will be pleading with members and supporters for funds as their election pot is always far lower than they really could do with.
