Happily, as we stand today, we're on the way to this being fixed as the UK slowly, and silently, starts agree to realign with EU rules. The next step after that will be for us to realise we've got no say in making them, and we'll ask to sit in the room where it happens. But we're ten years from that just now. The question is who gets there first - Tories or Labour. I suspect, after the drubbing they're going to get at the next election and at the rate their membership dying out or deserting, that it'll be the Tories.
One day, in the not too distant future, this whole thing will be a dystopian nightmare, a story of what happens when you let a man-child run the country.
