I haven't directly closed a current account in longer than I can remember; even for a straightforward cull, it's just as easy to switch them out!

Not much really, although by switching you can benefit from Current Account Switch Service payment redirection and there's always at least a small chance of receiving an undeserved incentive!

back up to £30 and £20 now..
"£100 to switch & £60 to stay. T&Cs apply" too... i guess recent bonus recipients are excluded.
if they were still at £45 i would have applied for some accounts via TCB and requested a match if needed. i'm keeping an eye out to see if they notch upwards again.

oh when I searched yesterday there were no TSB offers at all. it was coming up with competitors, such as the First Direct offer.
i guess it was unavailable for a short while as they tweaked it.
i was looking with a view to bagging some more accounts, but it’ll more than likely be August by the time I’m back in the hunt now.
