Liz Truss v the lettuce

Post by blythburgh » Wed Aug 14 2024 2:24pm

I had not noticed that our former Prime Minister was in a nearby town. And I agree with her that the stunt when she was on stage was not funny. But I agree with "Led by Donkeys" that it might not be funny but it was 100% true. But why is she touring the country ""Liz Truss is on a pro-Trump speaking tour. So we dropped a strategically-positioned remote-controlled lettuce banner," the group posted on social media."

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdrlx5yxr60o

And is she pushing for us to be the 51st state of the USA and Trump to be our President? And why did she feel the need to pull up her skirt when she sat down so she could show more of her legs? I though only show biz people and would be Celebrities (those with no real talent) did that.

But it is noticeable that the town is far, far smaller than my nearby one which had a high Brexit and Reform vote in the referendum and 2024 election so her sort of town. Could not get a venue or none of them wanted her?

with various other idiots in tow, including Elon Musk. Truth is I wonder if he is looking to the future and positioning himself to run in the Presidential elections in 4-5 years time

I take it you mean Musk as Farage was not born in USA. If I was a bookie my odds would be rather short on Musk attempting it in 2028. Which is worse Trump or Musk as president? I am chosing between them.

And did you know as an ex PM talking about politics we taxpayers (remember we all pay tax in one way or another) paid for the Met Police to provide security. If she had been promoting a non political book they would not have been involved.

Musk was born in South Africa but does have US citizenship (since 2002).

Musk as president would be interesting. Not necessarily in a good way, more in a sort of Liz Truss budget way. I think he'd just throw money at whatever crazy idea he had that morning. It's an approach that's served him well in his other endeavours, but he should take note of Liz's record first.

If he was not born in USA he cannot be president. Trump smear about Obama and the reason Arnold Schwarzenegger never went from California Governor to Presidential candidate.
