I understand the meaning of spamming, so presumably spammers are people who initiate spam. But, and my apologies if this is a stupid question, I don't quite understand the reference to a proportion of new members as spammers. Would someone mind explaining, please?

At the bottom of the forum home page is the number of Members (7002)
However that number include EVERY single person whose ever register, including Spammers, bots
So isn't a true reflection of how mnay Active members we have.
I think most CBS use a similar system

Spammers in the context of imutual are people or possibly autobots who register in order to make malicious/false/advertising or just plain rubbish posts. These are normally removed very quickly by an automated process as they are easily recognisable. But this leaves the initial registration. This is unlikely to be used again as it was created specifically for the purpose of creating the post/s..

I think the mutual model works and I certainly evangelise about it but its good to see the figures are trending well and there's traction out there in a tough market.

I use imutual, topcashback and Quidco, depending on who lists which merchant.

You might find this link useful:

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shoppi ... omparison/

Type in the merchant and it will be listed with the cashback amount offered.

I would like to point out that the link is not reliable. My husband uses Screwfix and although MSE claims it is updated every day, it still does not have iMutual listed as offering this merchant at all - very confusing
