Claims performance July 2013

Here's our regular report on how well we're doing in getting merchants to resolve your missing/incorrect transactions

We have a couple of overdue claims (i.e. that have gone passed their target resolution date). One of these is for Sky, who apparently do not accept the same timescales (80 days) as almost every other merchant for dealing with claims. Taking this together with their historical poor tracking record and lower cashback rates offered to imutual members, we've taken the decision to stop promoting them altogether. While we like to keep as many of the best brands on the site as possible, we feel we nede to take a stand in order to protect our reputation as the most trustworthy 100% cashback site. If we get assurances about better service in the future from Sky, then of course we'll consider re-adding them.

All but one of your claims submitted up to the end of March have been resolved. The overall number of claims has crept up but, relative to our total transactions, remains very low.

And remember that, uniquely, imutual allows you the option of appealing directly to members to have a rejected claim overturned. See details of our appeals process where your claim can be put to a binding vote of your fellow members

Hope you'll agree that this is a pretty good performance, which hopefully gives everyone confidence to recommend imutual to others. :)

Happy with this performance

The Sky claim is mine - Reading your comments of the time scales comparison to other merchants then I agree that they should be removed in order to protect our reputation

I am very happy with the performance, pats on back all round. And, accesspwd1, you should know you cannot trust any company that Rupert Murdoch has his mucky fingers in.
