Should we change the "shares-for-posts" incentive as proposed?

I voted 'Yes' to this propasal because it reduces the amount of Share given away
At the moment it would be possible to earn 155 Shares in May by simply posting
This will reduce it to 140 in June, though it doubtful if anyone would get close to that figure
I'd like to see an eventual reduction in shares for postin to 1-a-day
I voted no. I agree that one day there should be zero shares for posting. I feel it's too soon. New members will be more likely to post on other forums instead of ours. Thus losing momentum.

Do the shares for posting still continue - I understood that the new proposal was to replace these ??

If awarding shares is necessary there must be a simpler way of doing it. However I think a system based on thanks as suggested by Richard is fairer.

Another example;
Planeteduim(Not a real member) Posts twice a day every day for the month
Every one of his post is 'Thanked by Foggy(Again not a real member)
Foggy Posts twice a day every day for the month
Every one of his post is 'Thanked' by Planeteduim

Result 50 shares each

As you've never 'Thanked' 50 members in total then cleary it can't bee ewe.
It's just an xample of how a couple of low life bottom feedin scumbag members could take advantge of the 'Share-four=posin' offer And, quite frankly, it's underhand and abusive and anyone thinkin about doin this should be shot at dawn, hung drawn and quartered, put in the stocs thilst peopl throw tomatoes(preffably still in the tins) at them and their house should be spray painted with graffitti B 4 bein burnt to the ground and then they should be killed :evil:
(PM me if your interested in an arrangement :lol: )

I do not agree. If people create good strong topics. Then there will always be something to say and every reason to use a lively up to date forum like imutual.

This system will of course rely on people being very aware of the thanks system. I do not think many are at the moment Certainly not many (including myself use it routinely). Hopefully this will encourage it to be used more frequently.
