We had a sprinkling of snow last night but it has melted now off the car but the road still has some. And the pavement opposite still has some snow as it is facing north hence no sunshine hits it.
Think I will hunker down today. But do enjoy the meal, Raich.

This morning at just after 6:00a.m. it was raining but there was a hint of snow on the car windows. It is now 11:00a.m. and the sun is shining. But the temp is a mere 4 degrees C and the wind chill makes it feel like 0.09 degrees C.

We've still got about 4 inches. All the last lot has melted off the top so we're now down to the lot we got before! Lanes are still slushy and pavements icy. Will take a good lot of rain to clear it.

A slow thaw is best to avoid flooding but there I fear that will not be the case. We are on very high ground but my heart goes out to those who are in danger of floods in their area. As one person put it, in a fire you lose everything, in a flood you lose everything but at the same time you still have it all. Very sad.

Went to Southwold this afternoon. Ended up at the harbour which is one side of the River Blyth. Walked from the car park to the sea. Oh boy it was cold, far warmer here in Lowestoft even if the sea is at the bottom of our road.
Anyway going there we saw bits of snow in fields or where people had cleared it into heaps. But Kessingland levels on the way would be a marsh but for all the dykes criss crossing it. And those dykes have all overflown. Despite the fact that the River Hundred runs through it and out to sea at Kessingland.

For some the snow or floods have arrived, for others it could come tomorrow. I hate Spring, well when it still thinks it is winter I hate it.
