Despite heavy snow, I'm pleased to report that all imutual staff have made a timely arrival at the office

Well done, Michelle

I took today as holiday. My 1hr 10min train journey to London was increased to 1hr 53min calling all stations Portsmouth to Woking :o

Plus I need to get to Stansted Airport tonight. Not looking likely as we have several inches of snow already.

I am pleased to announce that for the 7896th day in succession the Met.Office have got the forecast wrong. Instead of the 4-6inches forecast less than twelve hours ago we have less than an inch of soggy slushy white stuff already melting with the sky clearing. The online forecast says it should be snowing heavily now.

South Wales, with a weather reporting site less than three miles away.

I foregot to add that based on the forecast all schools are shut and judging by the lack of traffic on the wet roads many employers told their staff not to turn up.

Could Mel's garden be a future Caption Comp? Despite RY's assurances about a 'Full staff turnout' they haven't done a new comp. Nore anything else. No new snow here in W Yorks

Lots of snow here where we rarely get it. I phoned an friend, she said her near neighbour came round and said I will put your wheelie bin out (in case they come). She was not well pleased having driven the 10 miles or so to Great Yarmouth college to find a notice to say they were closed. The staff should have been informed.

I went out yesterday and got food in. So we can eat well, if not always what we would have chosen, for quite a while. But I have not been out properly since before Christmas. What with getting a cold on Boxing Day which by the Sunday was full blown flu. I am fed up good and proper. Promised myself some lovely cheese after Christmas. Chose not to go to Southwold and fail to park as all the London lot were down at their 2nd home (nice little earner for them, stopping locals from living in the area of course). And Nutters (the cheese shop) would have been heaving. After Christmas the cheese would still there but Southwold would be quieter. Still waiting for some Suffolk Gold and some Walsingham amongst others for my cheese board. Who needs steak when you can have cheese that good?

No sign of any snow at all where I am, just rain! Also it's really that cold either.
