At last some members are asking "what happens if this account aggregating site gets "Ebayed", or "Linkedin-ed".

As I tried to make people think about on the previous page.

You do know 240 MILLION account details were stolen from Ebay, including ALL the information needed to execute a successful IDENTITY THEFT for all members concerned.

Name, address, telephone number, date of birth, and so on...

Admittedly Ebay were lax, this site SAYS it has "bank level security", but then they WOULD say that, wouldn't they???

Me, I give it a miss.

Not worth £13 for £300 worth of potential sorting out and undoing multiple identity theft false loan, credit card, bank account, etc being opened and a ruined credit rating.

imutual is all about selling out a little to gain a little.

Just control what you 'sell' them.

To add a fuller picture to Squires post
There was never any evidence of ID fraud from the ebay hack
I've never heard of anyone having their details stolen from these type of sites
I know the banks frown on thembut I had money manager for years and I was happy enough with it
If you have doubts then either don't do it
OR
do it, get the cashback then delete/change your passwords
Politically incorrect since 69

Yes it does
The British Bankers’ Association said it recognised the value of these services but also had “real concerns” about sharing bank details. “It’s like handing over the keys of your front door to a stranger,” a spokesman said.

It would prefer services that do not require account passwords and said banks are working on such technology.
I read this as a pretty strong signal to keep clear for now.

Egg used to have a service like this which was enormously useful. I trusted them as they were one of my banks. I'm not sure I'd trust an aggregator which didn't have at least one of my accounts. Having said that, do I want a bank to know about my money? I think this is all about understanding peoples' finances so they can sell things to them. But having said that, is there anything wrong with getting very targetted marketing - better to get an email about your household insurance when it's due, rather than an email about pet insurance when you don't even have a pet!

Ouch, that's a lot of yolk on the floor if the basket drops. I'll stay clear of this one.

By email:

"If you’re one of the next 2,500 people to add an account to your Money Dashboard, you’re guaranteed to get a £10 Amazon voucher.

Plus you’ll get a chance to win a £750 voucher or one of five £50 vouchers. You’ll still be in the draw for the £750 and £50 prizes, even if you aren’t fast enough to be one of the 2,500."

Arrived this morning. If they've been sending them out for the last few days I'm probably not going to be one of the 2,500!!!
