It was never about me, it was always about you - the very pretty Mel.
Is Mel Male or Female? Never a good idea to assume.

Fair point.
If Mel is a female I'm sure she is very pretty.

You can have pretty men too. Our culture might not value that as a description, but some men are pretty, and some women are handsome.

It would all be more believable if thunderbog had actually met Mel.

Even if it was just the odd coppers it would help
Well, is it TCB that asks for tips for the staff? A similar idea, but not sure how much if anything it would raise.
Yes it's Topcat
Probably to avoid paying them a decent wage
But it wouldn't be like that it would help fund the site
I cant see us getting bigger/better without a full time COE and you cant expect someone to do that job for peanuts
Maybe that should be our focus for the coming year

I hope so too - but I doubt it.
The site doesn't generate enough income to pay Richard to do any site or business development - but if IM doesn't generate more income, it will never be able to afford to pay Richard.
That's a Catch 22 isn't it...???

It is. And it's a common problem suffered by small businesses.
We and Richard have to decide whether we want IM to go forwards or backwards. As I voiced in a thread over the summer, IM is slowly dying:
- although the site seems to be largely self-maintaining, it starting to look tired and lacks functionality found in more modern sites (eg mobile, auto-complete)
- the "weekly" newletter was last issued months ago
- offers are often uncompetitive (check out some of the broadband sign ups)
- well-known merchants unavailable here (eg Three)
- As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, the number of sign-ups has halved.
If we do nothing, IM will become like a blunt pencil.
Pointless

I would be happy to donate at times, but if there is a button it should have a range of % or amount to donate.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

If it wasnt for the daily clicks, Imutual would be dead in the water membership usage of the site wise and financially - Profit from at least three different travel search merchants will be the main reason Imutual remains viable for the forseeable future.
