How much are shares worth?

Your shares in imutual are not, at present, listed on any stock exchange so they do not have a price and cannot be sold or transferred.

However, they are ordinary shares and hence entitle you to:
- Receive a copy of the accounts (when filed)
- Vote at general meetings of the company, including on the election of Directors and any resolutions
- Receive a share of any dividends paid by the company
- Benefit from any purchase / takeover of the company

imutual has been structured in such a way that the members are guaranteed to receive 90% of the shares, the remaining 10% being allocated to staff as an incentive to build the value of the company. That means that you have ultimate, long-term control of the company, and can influence what it does and how it does it

We can make no promises about the future value of imutual because, in part, that depends on members like you. But we believe it is realistic to expect that imutual can build a base of in excess of one million active shareholder members, which would create a powerful consumer organisation!
