Yes.

If - pre -bankcrupty - a company favours some creditors against others, it can be 'fraudulent preference' - but that is not particularly easy to prove. There is nothing in law that prevents a former director from paying out to creditors himself. In fact, where there have been personal guarantees given, usually to banks, that is exactly what happens.
