Isn’t the Direct Tracker effectively an instant access account currently paying 4.5%?
If so, not worth keeping for a while/

I would check with Kent Reliance for your account but my Direct Tracker pays 4.5% on instant access and internet access.

oh really? the info i had suggested it was paying a much lower rate than that.
are you able to add money to it as you choose, too?

Apparently yes - money can be added and withdrawn without notice.
That and the 4.5% rate seemed generous but Kent Reliance confirmed the details to me. I guess the legacy nature of the account (I must have opened it a decade or so ago) makes it unusually generous. Even so it does seem unusually generous hence my suggestion anyone who appears to have the same account check with Kent Reliance themselves.

yes good point 1User. i may be too late as i wrote to them, but i was writing on a statement that stated a rate that didn't appeal. c2% i think. perhaps they have since increased it and so i will miss out as a result.
bagging 3.25% from Coventry now.. ref this thread..

my account was closed, with a cheque for the balance, and they've confirmed now that it was paying 4.5%. if i'd known that i wouldn't have closed the account.

Don’t want to rub salt into the wound but with the base rates rising and this account being a tracker there’s a chance the rate will now increase! Kent Reliance sent me a generic email saying their variable rates are now being reviewed. I will post the outcome here.
