I missed out by not satisfying the eligibility terms, e.g. not £100 in a savings account, not depositing a salary sized amount every month or too few transactions in a month, etc. I had imagined the first year of Fairer Share was an exceptional payment and didn't realise they were likely to do the same again the next year, so wasn't prepared for that either and missed out the second time too.

Hopefully not going to fail again this third year, I have money in savings and other regular monthly activity in my Nationwide accounts over the last year, although they could still exclude me with a condition such as needing to have 2+ direct debits or 5+ debit card transactions per month!

understood Sarah.
fwiw i never use my Visa card for purchases, but my Nationwide FlexAccount is part of my monthly round robin and has two/three DDs in place.
i always keep £100+ in my Nationwide 'passbook' account - accepting that they no longer update the passbooks

I have Direct Debits set up. I support a variety of charities with small amounts plus the church "collection plate" each month.
