yes you may be right pab. i am sitting on some cash at the moment so current thoughts are to move into the Coventry account and then just keep an eye on things.. if a better rate comes up potentially move it on. i want to squeeze as much interest as i can.

i now have pots with 5 BSs: Coventry, Leeds, Nationwide, West Bromwich and Yorkshire.
will look to bag Coventry's 3.25% this week.. but other rates are set to appear shortly apparently.

Coventry BS Limited Access is restricted to 6(?) withdrawals a year and will be paying 3.25% from January.

It that just applicable to new (issue 7) customers, or did they literally put their interest rate up and down within the same month?

the impression i was given today was that the people who bagged the 3.25% rate will still be receiving that.. but the staff aren't very sharp, so don't hold me to that.
what's the best rate out there now? --i'm off to look.

with the base rate up to 4% the Savings rates from Building Societies will likely edge up soon.
2.85% up to £50k from Yorkshire is the best I’m seeing out there, followed by Skipton at 2.65%.

I just checked my account, which is Limited Access Saver (Online) (6) and it says 3.25%
So it looks like that issue 6 wasn't available for very long. Luckily, it appears that I got in at just the right time.

Would you consider banks as well as building societies? Chase UK will be paying 3% from 13th February and presumably others will also be adding around 0.5% to their rates sometime soon.
