Steve Harley, singer with Cockney Rebel and who had hits with Judy teen, Come Up and see Me and Mr. Soft amongst others, has died of unspecified cancer aged 73.

Steve was still diagnosed last year, but still touring until recently, when he took time off for chemo. It was not to be.
Judy Teen was one of the few singles I bought and Cockey rebel were, IIRC, the first band i saw play at Uni in 1974.
