- UK ditches healthcare coverage for pensioners moving to EU after Brexit transition
Cover given out to EU members was never "free". It was funded by their own health services in a reciprocal arrangement. We've lost that now, too.expressman33 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28 2020 5:28pmBut the NHS will probably carry on giving free treatment to allcomers .
Is there anything surprising about this?
It only does that for emergency care. Other stuff is done on a payable or reciprocal basis. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/healt ... om-abroad/expressman33 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28 2020 5:28pmBut the NHS will probably carry on giving free treatment to allcomers .
Certainly not for non-EU workers in the NHS.expressman33 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28 2020 5:28pmBut the NHS will probably carry on giving free treatment to allcomers .
This will make UK businesses uncompetitive, it’s entirely self-defeating.
Regrettably, many people will agree with you. They voted to be in control of a decline on the international stage. Well, not in control, as such, more in a position to watch helplessly.
The decline is already under way. And as we decline, they will continue to blame everything and anything other than themselves.
