Nationwide are closing down the Cash Reward credit card.
Transactions after 30Nov2020 will not qualify for the 0.25% cash reward on £ purchases.
Cards will be replaced with a new "Member Credit Card" in December.
"Attractions":
56 interest-free days
Unlimited, worldwide, commission-free purchases.
Time to find a another card, and maybe save this one for foreign travel only.

Apparently the Nationwide Select credit card (which has similar terms including 0.25% cashback) isn't being withdrawn for existing customers, but of course that could change. It already hasn't been available to new customers for awhile.

Although they are not withdrawing the card they are stopping the cashback.

Ha, they didn't mention that when I enquired earlier today!

Well I have a select CC and they sent me the email to say they were stopping CB. TBH I did not read it in detail to see which CC they were referring to, but it could be they sent a generic email and were not talking about the Select CC at all. I just assumed it applied to all. It was withdrawn to new business on 25/11/19

I'm not aware of receiving a notification related to my Select card, but receive a lot of mail and could've missed it, e.g. searching my inbox they appear to send a regular "newsletter" that I never open.
This isn't my primary card thankfully. I currently put most spending on a Barclaycard that has origins going back to Egg and pays 0.5% cashback. Also have an Aqua card that still pays the same 0.5% rate, but that one is intended for individuals with a poor credit score, so has rubbish limits that are difficult to raise. These are both unavailable for new customers.

Cash Rewards are being removed: "If you opened your [Select Credit Card] account before 11 January 2018, we’ve taken the decision to remove the Cash Reward feature from your account from 1 December 2020. This means that any purchases applied to your account after 30 November 2020 won’t qualify for cash rewards. Any cash rewards you have earned by that date will be paid to your account in December as usual."

No idea if it is available to new customers but my Natwest card pays me 0.5%
