A tiny chink of daylight that is much needed at the moment.
Labour need to sort themselves out - there is only one route to government and it requires working with the LibDems, Greens and SNP.

I do not think it was an anti Labour vote but the locals decided who can beat the Tories and voted with their head not with their hearts.

In the last General and County Council elections I voted with my heart because my head correctly thought it is a foregone conclusion the Tories are going to be the victors.

The County Council election was for 2 Councillors. By adding two wards together you made sure the Tories would get both seats. By having one Councillor per ward there was a chance Labour could have got a seat. If there had been two wards I would have voted with my head and gone for the Labour not the Lib Dem candidate.
