A calamitous PM called Truss
Threw her chancellor under a bus.
She called Kwasi a "friend"€
And it's true in the end,
It's not them looking stupid, it's us!

If it was not so serious it would be fun. I feel sorry for all Tory activists who voted for Sunak in the election. All that hard work to get a Councillor or MP elected or just to give Tory voters a say in any election knowing the candidate does not stand a chance. And all that hard work for nothing due to the actions of a stupid woman and an arrogant man
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

Miriam Margolyes Drops F-Bomb Live On Radio 4 During Jeremy Hunt Discussion

Anyone who’s watched a live interview with Miriam Margolyes will know you’re never quite sure what she might say, as she proved when she paid a visit to Radio 4’s Today programme on Saturday morning.

During her interview, which aired at around 8.30 in the morning, Miriam paid tribute to her former Harry Potter co-star Robbie Coltraine, but couldn’t help remarking on the fact that her appearance on the show came after the newly-appointed chancellor Jeremy Hunt.

And that’s when things took a rather explicit turn.

“I never thought I’d be sitting in the seat that Jeremy Hunt has just sat in,” she explained.

“The thing is, when I saw him there, I just said, ‘you’ve got a hell of a job, best of luck’. And what I really wanted to say was, ‘fuck you, bastard’. But you can’t say that!”

“No you can’t say that, we’ll have to have you out of the studio now,” presenter Justin Webb responded, with co-host Martha Kearney offering her “many apologies”.

Of course, the clip quickly began sparking a lot of conversation on Twitter, with former Labour advisor Alastair Campbell hailing Miriam’s outburst as “wonderful”, claiming she “speaks for millions”.

Her statement raises several issues.

Will she now be prosecuted under the Medicines Act for illegally dispensing prescription medicines.

Antibiotics when prescribed always state "complete the course" There is a risk of reinfection if you don't.

I thought the latest advice was that antibiotics were being over prescribed and that we should be cutting down on their use as they were becoming increasingly useless in fighting infection. The scientists were concerned that if a big infection came along it wold be resistant to the current range of antibiotics because of this over prescribing.

This idea can only I would have thought increase their use.

From the BBC, after jeremy Hunt's statement now reducuing the period of the energy "guarantee"

A former cabinet minister has told me Hunt's economic statement just now confirmed that Truss "is a goner, it put it beyond any doubt".

They continued: "What is the point of Liz Truss? That is the question... there is literally no point."

Another MP says: “The whole basis of her premiership is shredded… she needs a way out”

Tory Dogma still holds sway, with uncertainty injected back into the cost-of-living crisis, rather than any move to tax the excess profits of the energy companies to fund the energy guarantee. Truss may be a goner, but Hunt may not be far behind. If welfare or pensions are touched he'll be back into the wilderness too......
