I sometimes dip into Facebook comments to assist people struggling with basic concepts like whether the earth is flat, or whether we landed on the moon. The amount of ignorance that is confused with knowledge is staggering and terrifying.

I could tell my sister in law that what she is saying is a load of bull**** but she would just give me the pitying "you are so stupid" look. The table would be more receptive as she knows she is right because her daughter has told her these things and Anna is never wrong.

I know she thinks we are a pair of thickies. Her look of surprise when I said I had an Economics "A" level said it all. Not boasting but trying to explain why I understood somethin

The latest is that they are trying to stop us using gas so we are all on electricity and "they" can turn off the power at will. And no "gas is not adding to global warming". And log burners are not bad for the quality of the air now they only use seasoned wood. And their new wood burner means the lounge is lovely and toasty warm where it was always cold before. I agree about it being cold, I have sat in it without removing my coat and still felt cold. And yes I did wonder why neither radiator or supplementary gas fire were on. Lack of money? Nope, he had a well paid job and she had a good part time one.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me
